I am sorry to say that I did not know this young man, I do however know some of his family members. My heart is truly heavy and sadden for the family and friends of this young man. Often times when first responders are dispatched to a location the only thoughts on our minds are being saved. We never think about what these people may lose in order to save us or our loved ones. These courageous men and women rush in to save us putting aside their own lives in order to save another's life. It is sadly the ultimate sacrifice. God has a very special place for those people . Please take comfort in knowing Jeff is not alone .My heart and prayers go out to all the family members and friends and not to forget a community who will all need time to heal.

As a life member of both the Clearfield and Lawrence Township Fire Departments, this is an obituary one never wants to see. Although having not known Jeff personally, I have been fortunate to have known many of the few young folks who have chosen service above self and entered the fire service. May Jeff rest in peace and his family find comfort knowing that he lost his life helping his fellow man. To the officers and fire fighters on scene, I'm sure you will carry a burden forever. I wanted to express my sadness of the loss of a Hero who put his life in risk to save others. He definitely earned his wings to enter Heaven. I live in Colorado, but was born and raised in Osceola Mills, PA, so I know how important his job was and did it not for the money, but to help others. What a selfless act. I remember the day when Jeff was 6 or 7 years old and he came running in my backyard eager to show off his uncle's fire helmet and jacket. The helmet was so heavy he could hardly hold his head up and the jacket almost touched the ground. But he held his head high as he proudly announced to all of us gathered in the yard that he was going to be a fireman. Jeff never gave up on that dream. And better yet, he accomplished it. Not many people in this world can say they acheived their dreams but Jeff did it . He will always be remembered as a fireman.

I am so sorry to his family and friends and unborn baby and his fellow firefighters....he will be dearly missed by all...and we all thank him for being a firefighter.. I pray that God may let him rest in peace... even though I may not of known him personally I take his passing hard...because I look up to everybody who puts their life on hold to help others...I respect that very much...I couldn't even explain how thankful I am for it..
